On February 24th restaurants throughout the city will be teaming up to provide a percentage of sales throughout the day as a donation to the Boston Police Foundation. We ask that a minimum donation of 5% must be made in order to be included with the event. This event will be used to raise significant funds for the Boston Police Foundation.

The world famous Cask ‘n Flagon began as a small neighborhood bar known as Oliver’s in 1969. What was once known as the little bar on the corner of Brookline Avenue and Lansdowne Street is now a landmark location for diehard Red Sox fans, sports enthusiast, college students, locals and tourists. Many have said that the Cask ‘n Flagon is as synonymous to Fenway Park as the infamous Green Monster and Citgo sign. After 43 years, “The Cask” still holds the heart of Boston. Its walls are filled with black and white photographs of old time baseball greats such as Bobby Doerr (#1), Joe Cronin (#4), Carl Yastrzemski (#8), Ted Williams (#9), Carlton Fisk (#27) and many others. The tradition continues with the new location in Marshfield, MA. Chefs Mark Gaier and Clark Fraiser, of acclaimed Maine restaurants Arrows and MC Perkins Cove, bring to the Seaport District their newest restaurant: M.C. Spiedo.
Inspired by the Chefs’ love of the Italian Renaissance, discovered during their personal travels, the restaurant is named for the style of spit-roasting or rotisserie cooking, which was a popular technique at that time. The menu incorporates Mark and Clark’s fascination with the old world flavors of Florence, Bologna and Venice, along with their focus on farm-fresh ingredients and contemporary cooking techniques.

The Parish Cafe opened in November 1992. Its concept is simple, but fabulous! Owner Gordon Wilcox approached Boston’s famous chefs and asked them each to create a sandwich for the Parish Cafe menu.
Each sandwich is named for the chef and the restaurant they are from. Since our menu items are created by other chefs our standards are extremely high, which shows through in our enormous following.
The name “Parish Cafe” comes from one of Gordon’s favorite books, “Love in the Time of Cholera” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
