Boston Bruins BFit First Responder Challenge

On Sunday January 28th ,  the Boston Police Foundation was honored to sponsor members of the Boston Police Department to participate in the Second Annual Boston Bruins BFit First Responder Challenge. The event took place at the TD Garden to benefit the 100 Club of Massachusetts. The goal of the 100 Club is to extend financial support to the families of law enforcement officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty. This special event brought together first responders and fitness enthusiasts to raise money for the 100 Club. This year, the Boston Police Department had two teams participate. Members of the Gang Unit and Area B-2 ran this year’s course which consisted of running the stairs and concourses of the Garden. Take a look at the recap video HERE

2017 Year In Review

Thank you to everyone who helped #BackUpBostonsFinest in 2017. Your support allows us to further our mission of supporting the brave Men and Women of the Boston Police Department and the citizens of theCity of Boston. We held 5 fundraising events, sponsored numerous community events, held a boat christening, made strides in providing additional support for Officers mental wellness and provided the department with important technological and equipment upgrades that help Officers perform their duties to the very best of their abilities. As we look back on 2017 we couldn’t be prouder of the job the Boston Police Department did throughout the year. It is important to recognize the amazing work they do to protect and serve the City of Boston each and every day. We are constantly reminded of their importance and that is why we do all we can to support them.  To show your support for the Boston Police Department and our foundation, please consider making an end of the year donation, as any support would go a long way in making a significant difference for the department in 2018.

They have committed to raise a minimum of $15,000 to support the foundation. Please see below for their story on why they are running for the foundation and please consider donating to support them by clicking below. 2018 Boston Marathon Team on Crowdrise   We are honored (and just as surprised as you are) to announce that we will be running the 2018 Boston Marathon on behalf of the Boston Police Foundation; an amazing organization that we are grateful to be connected to. The 2018 race will mark five years since we witnessed firsthand one of the most horrendous days in our city’s history together. Shortly after the 2013 tragedy, I began volunteering for the Boston Police Foundation (BPF), and watched influential leaders in Boston rally together to raise awareness and funding for the BPD in the aftermath of the bombing. Now, as a member of the Board of Directors, I am especially grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity to do our part to support the brave men and women of the Boston Police Department. We will not be able to do this without you, and we hope you might consider sharing your encouragement and support with us. Our goal is large, and as we train for 26.2, we will also be devoting ourselves to hitting our fundraising goal for the Boston Police Department. The money we raise will support the BPF’s admirable mission of funding officer safety and wellness, community policing programs, special equipment, advanced training, and new technology not covered in the Department’s annual budget.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any amount of support you might be willing to share. We can’t wait to tackle this with you by our sides as we all work to help Back Up Boston’s Finest.   With gratitude, Caroline & Sean
