Boston’s own Mark Wahlberg and Director Peter Berg will be in attendance at the 3rd Annual Boston Police Foundation Gala. The event is scheduled for March 5th at the Westin Waterfront Hotel.
This annual event provides the necessary funds to Back Up Boston’s Finest by providing new technology and equipment, Officer Wellness and Safety Programs and Community Policing Programs that are not covered in the department’s annual budget.
During the event the foundation honors Boston Police Officer’s who have gone above and beyond their call of duty throughout the year. Mark and Peter will be presenting Boston Police Foundation Hero’s Award to a Boston Police Officer who has demonstrated exceptional strength, courage, fortitude, sacrifice and service during a time of crisis.
Additionally Anti-Defamation League (ADL) NE Regional Director Robert Trestan will be the evening’s honoree for his leadership in developing community partnerships that provide justice, equality and fair treatment.
The evening will feature live entertainment by musicians from the Boston Pops, compelling stories from members of the Boston Police Department, a three course sit down dinner, and dancing with the First Class Band.
